Clara Kennedy is from Harrison, New York and just finished her first year at Bates College in Maine. She plans on being an Art History major and currently works at the Bates Museum of Art where she assists in curatorial work and collections management. Clara loves music and has been DJing for five years. She has a radio show every Sunday evening and is on the board of the Bates College radio station WRBC. She is also on the Bates Sailing team and was a varsity swimmer for all four years of high school. She spent the past four summers lifeguarding and teaching swim lessons to young children at a beach club in Rye, NY. Clara was a camper at Brown Ledge Camp for a summer, but spent all of her childhood summers at her grandmother’s house in Proctor, Vermont where she rode horses and developed a deep love for the outdoors. She is so excited to work at Brown Ledge Camp this summer because of the welcoming community of BLC that encourages young girls to take advantage of and appreciate the beautiful nature of Vermont.
