Brown Ledge Camp is a summer camp for girls. In order to attend, girls must be physically and emotionally prepared to fully participate in our program. Due to our program’s emphasis on independence and free choice, a camper must complete 4th grade before her first summer. A Brown Ledge camper needs to be able to self-regulate her behavior appropriately for her age. Brown Ledge serves girls who meet the criteria for admission regardless of race, ethnicity, disability, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, or transgender status.
Camper age ranges from 9-15 years old. If your daughter is 16 and wishes to attend camp, please email [email protected] before enrolling.
To be eligible for the Junior Counselor program, an applicant must have completed the 10th grade, attended camp as a camper for at least one summer, and be invited to the program by the directors.
Enrollment is now open for all families! You can find more information about this summer’s dates and rates via this link. Please reach out to [email protected] with any questions.
As in 2021, we continue to strongly encourage families to vaccinate eligible campers and junior counselors. We reserve the right to require that eligible campers and junior counselors have received the FDA authorized COVID-19 vaccine at least two weeks prior to arrival at BLC. We will continue to communicate with you about possible requirements.
We are proud to have run our program in 2021 with no COVID-19 cases, and are fortunate to have learned a great deal about running camp amid the pandemic. Our goal for Summer 2022 remains the same as 2021: to operate our program as close to normal as possible while keeping the safety of our campers and staff as our top priority. This means we will continue to follow public health developments and adjust our program accordingly.
We will stay in regular communication with you and your camper throughout the year to convey and discuss any changes we may need to implement.
Please email [email protected] with any questions.
We are happy to speak with you about the Brown Ledge experience anytime!
