Who can Enroll

Admissions Policy

Brown Ledge Camp is a residential summer camp for girls. We welcome any camper who is female and/or identifies as a girl. In order to attend, campers must be physically and emotionally prepared to fully participate in our program. Due to our program’s emphasis on independence and free choice, a camper must complete 4th grade before her/their first summer. In addition, we ask that our campers be able to self-regulate their behavior appropriately for their age. Brown Ledge serves girls who meet the criteria for admission regardless of race, ethnicity, disability, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, or transgender status.

Camper age ranges from 9-15 years old. If your daughter is 16 and wishes to attend camp, please email [email protected] before enrolling.

To be eligible for the Junior Counselor program, an applicant must have completed the 10th grade, attended camp as a camper for at least one summer, and be invited to the program by the directors.

How to Enroll

You can access and complete our online camper application via this link.  Please email [email protected] with any questions.

COVID-19 Considerations

We have learned a great deal about running camp amid the pandemic. We will continue to follow public health developments and adjust our program accordingly.

In 2022, we required that all campers and junior counselors had received the COVID-19 vaccine to attend camp. We reserve the right to require that eligible campers and junior counselors have received the FDA authorized COVID-19 vaccine at least two weeks prior to arrival at BLC. We will continue to communicate with you about possible requirements.

To ensure that Brown Ledge can operate safely, there may be an additional fee to cover costs associated with COVID-19. We will wait for further guidance from our governing bodies to implement a COVID-19 fee, and we reserve the right to implement this for 2023 if needed. Families will be alerted before the tuition refund deadline of May 1, 2023.

We will stay in regular communication with you and your camper throughout the year to convey and discuss any changes we may need to implement.
